Oe no Tadamitsu (大江斉光)

OE no Tadamitsu (also called Narimitsu, 934 - November 29, 987) was a kuge (court noble) during the mid Heian period. He was the second son of Chunagon (middle counsellor) OE no Koretoki who was in the main branch of the Oe clan. He was shosanmi (Senior Third Rank) and Sangi (councillor).

He took up Kidendo (the study of history, where he started from Monjo tokugosho (Distinguished Scholars of Letters) and successfully passed Horyakushi (a test for recruitment of government clerk) and was assigned to Shikibu-sho (the Ministry of Ceremonies). He served as Togu gakushi (Teacher of the Classics for the Crown Prince) for Imperial Prince Norihira (later Emperor Reizei) and became Shikibu no taifu (Senior Assistant Minister of the Ministry of Ceremonies) via Daigaku-ryo (Bureau of Education under the ritsuryo system). He was also a capable government official and successively worked in different positions of benkan (officials of the dajokan) while serving as chihokan (a local official). He was appointed to Kurodo no to (Head Chamberlain) in 977, Udaiben (Major Controller of the Right) in the next year 978, and Sangi (councillor) in 981 to rank with Kugyo (the top court officials). He was assigned to Jusanmi (Junior Third Rank) in 982 and shosanmi (Senior Third Rank) in 986.
